Malia is a UK based singer-songwriter of Persian decent. Her hometown is the musically cultured city of Manchester United Kingdom.

Malia has always been unique, her appearance and musical talents make her stand out of the crowd in any scene, always knowing she was made for something great musically Malia began her career at the tender age of 9 when she made her TV debut on Disney Channel. Taking to the stage like a duck to water this experience re-affirmed to Malia & her family her international capabilities as an artist/performer. Post Disney Channel Malia began acting/modelling, she took ballet in between school, adding more strings to the little entertainer’s bow. Never a follower Malia has always been one to set trends, if laces where being tied a certain way in school Malia always had to create a newer better way of doing it, if friends where sat eating popcorn watching a film Malia would be playing her music player finding which song matched which set design and scene, why the director would choose the X way of doing things opposed to Z.

High school days where when Malia really started to realise her dream and passion was then & would always be to be a great musical artist, she began to dig her teeth into the business writing music. Her writing style and technique where beyond her years, knowing the topics she wanted to address but the knowledge & practice of these where beyond 12 year old Malia’s full understanding, Malia took to researching emotions through books so she could fully understand how to convey things she had yet to experience. Her caring and charismatic personality always seemed to find a way into the music bringing a smile to the face of any listener. Everything Malia wrote had to mean something, it had to touch the ears of the people who heard in more ways than one, the hook had to be as strong as the bars perfection was only ever the option. From the streets with her friends to the studio and local radio stations Malia began to develop herself as a young teenage artist in Manchester earning a spotlight in the musical scene at such a young age.

Years later after Malia’s consistent graft an International US artist saw Malia’s light and reached out. Disturbing the peace artist Bobby Valentino. In a world wind Malia was on a flight from her hometown Manchester UK to Atlanta Georgia where Bobby

mentored and developed Malia’s sound showing her how to develop the foundations she had already built to become an international star. Once in the studio with Producers who have made chart blockbusters she knew this was an opportunity of a lifetime, working harder than ever she put her heart & soul into making music giving everything she could. One day whilst in the studio – Malia was free styling with the engineer when Natalie Ostick walked in, a UK manager she had a phone call from a friend who knew of Malia and her movement insisting that she went into the studio to go and just listen. From outside the studio Natalie’s face lit up, she could hear the potential without seeing Malia. Upon meeting Malia her manager now of many years recalls seeing Malia and hearing her sound and idea’s, an instant bound was formed and an alliance was formed around Malia as an artist/performer. On returning to the UK Natalie began calling up associates from around the country, she knew what she had and how to make it work. Malia & Natalie set out a plan, to create a team around Malia giving her the in-house tools to create on demand. KC Locke was brought into the team as a visual creator of photography & videography, capturing the journey from start to finish. The foundations had been laid for #TeamMalia. Months later Natalie flew Malia and her new head of visuals KC out to Marbella where they produced Photo-shoot after photo-shoot, PA after PA literally throwing Malia into the deep end with productions from her time in Atlanta. When seeing how Malia was received by European audiences Natalie automatically knew Malia was something different, she was something the music business craved therefore she knew artistry with a different form had to be brought out. Malia’s voice is soft, creamy & velvety – easy on the ears yet hard on the heart Malia’s music is a great interpretation of her artistry.

Taking the levels up a notch, soon after recording Debut Single Forget You the team flew out to Los Angeles. Malia and her management began conversations with Alex Nazari and his producer Jay Tauzin where they soon discovered that this director was the one to launch Malia’s debut onto the big screens of the Music world. She became the first female Nazari & his production team have shot and joined the impressive line-up of fellow musicians. Whilst in LA Malia & her team from NY & UK got in the studio with King David and Step Johnson from Interscope Records, hit makers who noted Malia’s talent’s from the offset

Always drawing inspiration from things beyond her years Malia’s love of the fearless era and fearless characters bestowed upon the History books as ‘game changers’ now play a big part in her interpretation of her musical journey and artistic visions, bringing back individuality to the UK and international music stage.

One of Malia’s foundations as a person and a rule she adopts with her home grown team who have been there throughout her journey is Loyalty, respect and truth. She states “If you give these three things out, they will always come back to you”.
